Ransomeware... Beware!

Beware of any email from an unknown sources!

We have reports of emails popping up again with bogus invoices and attached PDF's. The emails appear to be sent to members in accounts payable pretending to be from a vendor. The result is a download infects the desktop or device, installing ransomware. These crooks typically request a dark currency payment to release the data.

We further noted Bank's are more at risk if their IT officers emails are listed online. Spoofers review websites for these vulnerabilities and send disguised emails to trick staff. Do not list your IT officers email online! Protect your staff by limiting public disclosure of key staff (wire personnel, IT, Security officer, and Etc.).
